This artwork draws heavily from my personal experiences, reflecting my determination to navigate through periods of emotional turmoil with resilience and perseverance.
The process in making this piece itself was cathartic for me.
The message behind this artwork is simple.
I'd like to think that the red flower is me and all of everyone else who grapples with chaotic, shadowy internal turmoil. At times, it seems as though darkness envelops us entirely, but once we realize that we're still here—thriving and living; we'll also realize that there is power within us, persists despite the chaos surrounding us.
That amidst all of this; we grow, we thrive, and we live still.
And we can be stronger than our shadows.
